Nancy’s credentials also include studying at Stanford University to be a laboratory technician and surgical nurse practicing as a surgical assistant, anesthesiologist and midwife. Additionally she attended ten years of post graduate studies at American College of Advancement in Medicine refreshing her knowledge of advances in the field of preventative medicine. Currently Nancy is the owner of Optimum Health Clinic, an integrated health practice in San Rafael, CA. Her practice includes services in the areas of nutrition, thermography, colonics, and lymphatic massage to name a few. In addition to running an active practice, she finds time to chair as CEO of the California Preventative Medicine Foundation (CPMF), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the prevention of life threatening diseases. Due to the high rate of breast cancer in the Bay Area she has focused her attention on educating women on preventing breast cancer.
With a successful 25 year established practice in Marin County, CA., Nancy has trail blazed the industry as a knowledgeable caretaker whose purpose as a practitioner is to enhance her patients’ quality of life through providing accurate information and loving care during their treatments. Dr. Gardner's practice includes preventative, exploratory and post-discovery (of cancer) treatments. Her non-profit foundation (CPMF) is well known domestically and has served women coast-to-coast by facilitating educational seminars on the prevention of breast cancer, cardio-vascular disease and diabetes. Dr. Gardner has taught at UC Berkeley, San Francisco State, Idaho State, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State and University of Hawaii at Hilo and Kamuela. Dr. Gardner is the director of Thermo-Tech Inc.® a Diagnostic Thermology Laboratory and School of Medical Thermology. Her unique screening technique offers women personal 'one on one' training on how to do their own breast exam. Two years after obtaining the doctorate in chiropractic, I worked in a multidisciplinary clinic in Miami, Florida treating all of my patients with nutrition, chiropractic and homeopathy. We had many patients from Europe. For the next ten years I operated my own five-doctor wholistic facility in Jacksonville , Florida. I did 1400 television programs on holistic medicine and coordinated the efforts of homeopaths, acupuncturists, chiropractors, allopaths (medical doctors) and massage therapists. I became the president of the Chiropractic Academy of Homeopathy and an examiner for the National Board. In my own practice I performed hundreds of blood tests, thousands of x-rays and MRIs, and a multitude of physical examinations and neurological tests. I rarely recommend x-rays now, however, due to the damage they create.
Over the last thirty years I have studied with the most renowned homeopaths in the world, including Catherine Coulter, Eizayaga, Bill Gray, Roger Morrison and various homeopaths from India. I have an advanced standing with the NCH, a Medical Doctorate of Homeopathy from India and am a Diplomat and an examiner of the National Board of Homeopathic Examiners.
WHO I LIKE TO TREAT
I like to treat a person on the physical, chemical and emotion planes at the same time as part of a comprehensive approach to health care.
My favorite challenges are chronic patients suffering from autoimmune disorders, heavy metal toxicity issues, malnutrition, leaky gut and a history of medical suppression over the course of their lives.
Emotional disorders are so nicely treated with classical homeopathy. Using homeopathy, a doctor can treat the emotional/mental component of a person without the harmful effects of psychotrophic pharmaceutical preparations.
Having performed 60 thousand chiropractic boney adjustments I enjoy treating folks with structural alignment issues.
PASSION
There is no greater thrill than comprehending a patient’s medical history from the time they were born to the present day. Humans are very complex and there is no end to the variety of people on this planet. I truly love to get to know each one of them and to then be the medical detective in a clinic which has more to offer than any clinic they’ve been to before. That is thrilling.
